Adventures of a Wooden Boy (2025)

Step into a world of wonder with "Adventures of a Wooden Boy," a heartwarming musical inspired by both Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi and Buratino by Alexei Tolstoy. Follow a curious wooden boy as he dreams of becoming real — facing challenges and discovering the true meaning of courage, friendship, and self-discovery. Blending two cherished traditions, the story draws from Pinocchio's heartfelt transformation and Buratino's adventurous spirit with a fresh, imaginative twist. Filled with music, vibrant dances, and festive holiday magic, this enchanting production promises an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages.

The Snow Queen (2025)

"The Snow Queen," an original adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's tale, features a large cast of young actors with choreography by Skyline DANCE Studio. Under the artistic direction of Kateryna Magas, students explored both theatrical performance and decorative arts — from papier-mâché to woodworking — contributing meaningfully to the production's visual storytelling. Their performances showed impressive charm and potential. The shows were held January 18–20, 2025, at the historic Fort Calgary Historic Park, providing a uniquely atmospheric setting for each performance.

Dwarf Long Nose (2023)

Inspired by Wilhelm Hauff's enchanting tale, this two-act musical follows young Jacob — a kind-hearted cobbler's son who, after mocking the mysterious fairy Wise-Herb, is transformed into a misshapen figure with a long nose, unrecognizable even to his own family. Rejected and alone, he discovers a remarkable talent for cooking, earning respect at a noble Duke's court and a new name: Dwarf Long Nose. Magic continues to follow him in the form of a talking goose named Mimi, whose presence reveals that not all is as it seems. Weaving together fantasy, humor, and heartfelt moments, this visually rich production reminds audiences that appearances deceive — and true worth lies within.

The Twelve Months (2022)

“The Twelve Months” is a children’s film produced in 2022 in Calgary, based on the classic fairy tale by Samuil Marshak. The production was filmed in a home setting approximately six months before its stage premiere. This project marked a significant milestone, as it became the first live performance after the COVID-19 pandemic, giving children the opportunity to return to the stage and perform in front of a real audience on a large stage.

Thumbelina (2021)

On March 31, 2021, "Thumbelina" was brought to the screen, marking a meaningful milestone in our creative journey. Despite COVID-19 challenges, the team showed remarkable dedication — rehearsing individually and filming under strict restrictions — yet succeeded in creating a beautiful musical performance. For many children aged 4 to 10, it was their very first step onto the theatrical stage. "Thumbelina" remains a heartfelt example of creativity, unity, and the power of art to bring people together — even in the most difficult times.

The Tin Soldier (2021)

Our second musical production, "The Tin Soldier," inspired by Hans Christian Andersen, was created during 2021–2022 and marked a new chapter in our studio's journey. Our young performers grew more confident, expressive, and emotionally genuine with every step. Through exploring two Andersen fairy tales, they discovered that not all stories end happily — but can still carry dignity, meaning, and a powerful message.

The Fly-Tsokotukha (2021)

Korney Chukovsky's beloved "The Fly-Tsokotukha" inspired the young actors' New Year 2022 film production. Brighter and more musical than previous works, it featured larger ensemble scenes welcoming both returning performers and exciting new debuts. Working together taught the children that a scene's success depends on the harmony of the entire cast — not just individual performers. Through this experience, students developed their skills while learning the true value of teamwork and collaboration.
